Best Store Bought Keto Desserts

I have been reviewing store bought keto desserts since my start on YouTube. Since, keto desserts have been my primary focus from reviewing brands to making my own recipes and other food bloggers. Here, you will find the best of the best of what I have tasted. This post will be ongoing as there are always new store bought keto desserts coming out every month. Let’s start testing!

What desserts can I buy on keto?

New to the keto diet this is very good question. Keto today is a far different monster than it was a few years ago. Your options are almost unlimited now.New store bought keto desserts are coming out every month and even some older brands are now in stores such as Fat Snax.

Desserts you can buy on keto:

  • Cookies
  • Cake mixes
  • Brownie Mixes
  • Smartcakes
  • Ice Cream
  • Candy
  • Cookie Granola
  • Soda
  • Bars

So, as you can see there are a bunch of options but what are the best of the best? Luckily there’s not much I haven’t tried and I have videos showing them as well.

HighKey Snacks

I was introduced to HighKey snacks back at Ketocon. I was blown away by their chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookies. But, what I didn’t expect was the rate they would start pushing out quality products afterwards.

Back to back they have pushed out great tasting products. Not that all are amazing. But, even the ones that fall short are still good. Plus you have to include how subjective taste is. So, for something that may not be a flavor I enjoy, you may love.

One major bonus is out of these store bought keto desserts most are online but recently HighKey are now popping up in a Whole Foods near you.

HighKey snacks product range:

  • Mini Cookies (chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, lemon, vanilla wafer, chocolate, salted caramel and many more)
  • Brownie bites
  • Pancake mix (original, chocolate, blueberry)
  • Brownie and blondie mix
  • Granola
  • Hot cereal (keto oatmeal)
  • Cheese crisps

Keto Friendly Sodas

Now, you can drink diet sodas so I don’t want to steer you away from those if you choose to drink them. But, some of us like things a bit more clean and natural. Two soda brands I have tried and stand by are Zevia and Virgils.

Which is better?

Well, in all honesty I believe Virgils is the best. But, they also feature dye which some people may not like. As far as flavor, if you are new stevia can be a bit off putting and that’s what Zevia uses. And in some flavors it’s very evident.

These are easily a store bought I have seen them both in several stores including Walmart.

Perfect Keto

Perfect keto is a OG brand. They have been around for a very long time and recently just started getting into the keto dessert game. I will be honest their beginning products just weren’t good. But, they kept pushing and reworking them and now have pretty good snacks.

Their keto nut butter packs are what stand out to me. Keto bars are a hit and miss because it will depend on what flavor is best for you. The best flavor has been birthday cake that I have personally tried.

I don’t buy many desserts from them. I mainly go there for my exogenous ketones but I highly recommend the brand for new comers. There is something there for everyone.

F-Bomb

Another old school company that was once very hard to get are now super easy. Sprout’s carries this brand and they have extended their product line over time. Macadamia nut butter is what I truly go with them for. They offer it in several different forms such as chocolate, hazelnut mix and so on which are rather exciting.

They carry beef jerky sticks and even cheese crisp in some interesting flavors. Nut butters aren’t super sweet, more salty which is perfect. They sell them in jars and individual packets which are great for us that are on the go.

Keto Ice Cream

I will continue to say this but dairy is everything in keto. You don’t have to have dairy but as far as keto desserts nothing compares.

You will see some brands such as Sola that market to keto or maybe you will see people on social media speak on them. Stay away! So uses terrible ingredients and sweeteners not a brand I associate myself with or stand by.

Keto ice cream brands:

I personally prefer Rebel, Mammoth and Killer Whey over all. But, Rebel Creamery is the only one of the three that’s as easy as Enlightened and Halo Top to get in stores. The prior three were made directly for the keto community. They had much smaller capital so brands such as Enlightened and Halo Top had an easier job getting their product in stores first. As far as store bought keto desserts go you can’t beat ice cream!

ChipMonk Baking

ChipMonk is a very small company at the time of writing this. Small but they pack a lot of power because they have the best cookies I have had on keto that you can buy. Using the sweetener allulose their cookies have a sweetness very similar to sugar. It doesn’t stop there though.

They perform really well with flavor and texture. Texture is by far hard to pull off but along with HighKey they do just as good. Crunchy cookie lovers, HighKey, but a soft chewy cookie ChipMonk is where you wanna go.

I loved them so much I reached out to tell them how wonderful I thought they were. Along with being on my third order and the fourth following close behind I now have a discount code. I want to share it with you because your first purchase you get 10% off but with “sugarlesscrystals” you always get 10% off each purchase.

bag of Gra-POW granola peanut butter cup spilled over

Keto Granola

Granola can be a dessert in my eyes. Especially when it’s done in a cookie granola like Gra-POW or which chocolate chips like in Fla. For nut lovers these are both a great option. I save on Gra-POW because I have been a fan for a long time. I buy any chance I get, and they have sales often.

They both have a sweetness but Keto Baking Co takes it further with flavors such as PB & J, brownie, apple pie and so on. Truly, great options.

Keto Bars

As mentioned, Perfect Keto are among those that sale keto bars. It’s very easy to find keto bars in the store now but they aren’t all good personally. This is debatable because I don’t like protein bars such as Quest bars. The chewy texture doesn’t work well with me in a bar but here’s a list of bars I find pretty good.

  • Dang bars
  • G2G bars (Good 2 Go)
  • Perfect Keto
  • Epic Bars (savory flavor)

Keto Cups

I feel keto cups got a sort of bad rap due to them being such a strong chocolate. Funny though, they can’t keep them on shelves at Whole Foods. My followers have said they hated the rich chocolate flavor but the bitterness of the chocolate and the sweetness of the coconut butter worked perfect to me. Then they extended their product line.

In came hazelnut and almond butter. The people went crazy and for good reason. Hazelnut is by far superior to them all but that’s subjective. What changed was the richness of the chocolate in the new flavors that I think will bring more people to love this brand for what they represent. Quality ingredients in a very simple and delicious fat bomb!

Revol Snax

These little pots of gold can be found in GNC and some special boutique stores. Of course, you can always order online, but they are growing quickly and should be in a store near you soon.

I had the chance to meet the founders David and Nadine in person. As a fan, I like to meet brand owners that are fans of the keto diet as well. They truly care about their product and the ingredients and the flavor and texture is amazing. I can’t tell you how many of these little nuggets I’ve purchased. Full review here but trust me they are well worth the find.

  1. Darius any advice on the best keto chocolate, chocolate bark, gumdrops, candy, licorice?
Would LOVE to know because I’m on a budget and when I do purchase I really want to like it!! Thanks gina

  2. Chocolate bark I would easily say Choczero. The candy such as gummies and things Lily’s and Smart Sweets. Kiss my keto has gummy options as well but I haven’t tried those yet. Hope this helps Gina!
