How To Make Crockpot Grape Jelly Meatballs
Ingredients needed
- Frozen meatballs
- Barbecue sauce or ketchup
- Grape jelly
Is it better with barbecue sauce or ketchup
The crockpot meatballs are great with both. My mom even use to make them with brown gravy and grape jelly which was still delicious. Barbecue sauce is my favorite because the spices come through and really gives you a lot of flavor. I would suggest a milder barbecue sauce because you don’t want so many spices you lose the essence of the grape jelly.
Ketchup is nice for simple the sweetness with a touch of tomatoes. You’re not going to get hardly any spice flavor but if you have a sweet tooth this is the best choice.
Making the crockpot meatballs with grape jelly
- Toss the frozen meatballs in the crockpot. Then, in a small bowl mix together the barbecue sauce and grape jelly. Now, pour that into the crockpot and mix the meatballs and the sauce together.
- Turn the crockpot on low for 3-4 hours. You’re simply heating everything through and then you’re ready to serve.
