How To Make Keto Donuts-Step By Step
- First, preheat oven and melt butter.
- Next, combine almond flour, coconut flour, dutch process cocoa, sweetener, baking powder and salt. These are all of your dry ingredients.
- Grab melted butter, mix in eggs, vanilla extract and a liquid sweetener.
- Then, combine dry and wet ingredients.
- Spoon batter into donut pan and smooth out as in video.
- Bake for 20 minutes. You will actually overtake them to make them release from the non-stick pan. If using silicone that’s even better.
- Lastly, melt chocolate or use a sugar free chocolate syrup and dip donuts. Or skip dipping them they are delicious without the glaze.
Helpful Recipe Tips
- Dutch process cocoa vs cocoa- this recipe works best with dutch process cocoa. That cocoa produces a darker chocolate flavor which is the same chocolate used in Oreos. Cocoa can be subbed in place but the flavor will be much lighter.
- When using melted chocolate, melt chocolate with butter to thin chocolate out some and to get that great glaze you see in photos. Or use this!
- I found using a silicone donut pan was better than a non stick with keto donuts. I found they stick really bad even with oiling the pan first.
