How To Make Garlic Parmesan Wings
Ingredients needed
- Chicken wings
- Grated parmesan
- Butter
- Seasonings (listed below)
Best method to make chicken wings
In the recipe I will give directions for the air fryer. But, you can bake them in the oven or even deep fry the wings. The best and crispiest wings will come from deep frying but the alternative and a bit more healthy is the air fryer. You can achieve crispy wings in the oven but there’s far more prep involved and more clean up in my opinion.
Making the garlic parmesan wings recipe
- First, remove the chicken wings from the package and pat them as dry as possible. Preheat the air fryer to 400F.
- Next, oil the wings then season with the seasonings. Do not add the seasoning before the air fryer is close to being preheated. If you salt the wings and they sit, the salt will draw out the water in the wings.
- Place the wings in the preheated air fryer and cook or 24 minutes. Flip the wings halfway through.
- While the wings are cooking, melt the butter and mix together with the parmesan.
- When the wings are done cooking, toss them with the parmesan mix. You will have to rub the wings with the parmesan because it’s a bit thick but be careful due to the wings being hot.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Can I bake the recipe?
Sure, baking is simple but you’ll need a wire rack for the best wings. Bake them at 400F for 45 minutes then coat with the parmesan mix.
Do I need to use baking powder for crispier wings?
I have tested this out more times than I can count. Maybe with deep frying, but with the air fryer and the oven I never notice a difference in crispiness when the wings are covered in baking powder. The crispiest wings will always come from deep frying. Restaurant owners have always known this.
