Let’s get started and I’ll show you step by step how to make it.
How To Make Cheesy Roasted Potatoes
Ingredients needed
- Baby Yukon potatoes
- Cheese
- Olive oil
- Seasoning (listed below)
What’s the best cheese to use for the recipe?
The cheese you use is up to your personal liking. You’ll want to choose a cheese that melts well, a semi-soft cheese like cheddar, Monterey jack or gouda. However, a cheese like mozzarella can work as well. If you like parmesan there’s a better option here that uses that cheese to give you a crispy crust.

Making the cheesy roasted potatoes in the oven
- Preheat the oven to 400℉.
- Next, slice the baby potatoes down the center. Then toss in oil and add in the seasonings and herbs.
- Oil the sheet pan lightly as well. Then, place the prepped potatoes in the sheet pan cut-side down.
- Bake in the preheat oven for 30 minutes. Carefully remove the pan from the oven then top the potatoes with the grated cheese. Place back in oven and turn the oven to broil.
- Once the cheese has melted remove the pan from the oven and serve.
- Note, due to the moisture in the cheese the potatoes will not be crispy when serving.
