- Strawberries
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- All-purpose flour
- Granulated sugar
- Butter
- Egg
- Baking soda
Tips before starting the recipe
- Many times, it’s good to toss the fruit in flour to prevent sinking.That was not needed for this recipe for the strawberries.
- You can play around with the chocolate, maybe alternate or sub with a nut, such as walnut. This will give the strawberry banana bread a crunch.
- Why ripe bananas? Bananas when they have darkened are at their sweetest point and a much stronger “banana’ flavor. Sometimes the stores only have green bananas. If you can, I say wait but you can make these with those as well. There will be a slight difference in how strong the banana flavor comes through.

- Preheat the oven to 350F. Then, chop up the strawberries and mash up the bananas.
- Grab the mashed up bananas and whisk in the egg, vanilla extract, butter and sugar. In a separate bowl, add in the flour and baking soda. Combine the dry and wet ingredients. Fold in the strawberries and chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a lined load pan. Place in the oven for 45-55 minutes depending on your personal oven.
