How To Make Cream Cheese Banana Bread

Ingredients needed

  • Banana
  • Cream cheese
  • All-purpose flour
  • Butter
  • Sour cream
  • Baking soda
  • Vanilla extract
  • Granulated sugar

Making the cream cheese banana bread recipe, with tips

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. Mix the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and flour until smooth. Set to the side. Then, smash the bananas.
  3. Once smashed, add in the vanilla extract, egg, sugar and melted butter. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt and baking soda. Combine the dry and wet ingredients.
  4. Now, in a line loaf pan, add half the banana bread batter in the pan. Then, drop dollops of half the cream cheese. Finish adding the rest of the banana bread batter on top then finish off with the remaining cream cheese mixture.
  5. Carefully, take a knife and make about 3 figure 8’s in the batter to swirl the cream cheese. You don’t want to do too much because you’ll begin to mix it.
  6. Place the loaf pan in the oven for 45-55 minutes. Test the cream cheese banana bread with a toothpick for doneness. The toothpick should come out clean and if you press the middle it should bounce back at you, not sink down.
  7. Remove the bread when finished and allow to cool before slicing, enjoy.
