Pumpkin mousse is a smooth and fluffy dessert that’s filled with fall spices. A light snack for pumpkin lovers that easy to whip together.

Recipe Highlights
- Fluffy yet creamy texture and perfect for a light dessert.
- Uses real pumpkin
Ingredients needed for the recipe
- Cream cheese, I suggest full fat for the flavor but you can use lower fat to save on the calories.
- Cool whip, this will always be my go-to over whipping your own heavy cream. It already has the stabilizers so it won’t go flat over time and it makes it almost impossible to over mix.
- Brown sugar
- Canned pumpkin
- Vanilla extract
- Pumpkin spices, I use individual but you can easily sub for pumpkin pie spice then adjust to taste.

Storage and making ahead
This is the perfect recipe to make ahead, because it has to be made ahead. You could enjoy it immediately but it’s better when it’s firmer and the flavors have come together.
For storing, you want to get it cold so that it doesn’t loose it’s consistency. To add, this will keep it from going bad. It’ll keep in the fridge for quite some time, 5 days is completely possible.

Pumpkin Mousse
Ingredients
- 4 ounce cream cheese (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon ground clove
- 1/8 teaspoon ginger
Instructions
- In a bowl, cream the cream cheese with the pumpkin. Then, add in the brown sugar, vanilla and the spices. Lastly, fold in the cool whip.
- Place in the fridge covered for a few hours for it to firm up. It could take anywhere between 2-4 hours to firm up some. It'll still be soft but if you try a spoonful before and after you'll notice a very clear difference in the texture.
