How To Make Parmesan Crusted Chicken

Ingredients needed

  • Chicken breast
  • Italian dressing
  • Ranch dressing
  • Grated parmesan
  • Italian breadcrumbs
  • Butter

Quick tip before starting

You can use pre-shredded parmesan but the best results will come from shredding your own. If short on time or you want to make the recipe a breeze then pre-shredded is the way to go. But, there is a notable difference in the textures.

Making the parmesan crusted chicken breast

  1. First, marinate the chicken in Italian dressing for at least one hour.
  2. When ready to cook, preheat the oven to 400F. While preheating, mix together the toppings for the chicken.
  3. In a frying pan on medium-high heat, add a little oil and sear both sides of the chicken. Make the chicken golden in color on the outside but undercooked on the inside.
  4. Once seared, add the chicken to a sheet pan, smear on the parmesan topping then the breadcrumb mixture. Once all the chicken is ready, add to the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. Remove the chicken once the top has browned. The chicken will be cooked all the way at this point.
  6. Allow to cool for 5 minutes then serve. Be careful, the sauce will be hot.
