How To Make No Bake Banana Pudding Cheesecake
Ingredients needed
- Cream cheese
- Banana pudding mix
- Vanilla wafers
- Butter
- Milk
- Sour cream
- Powdered sugar
Tips, where things can go wrong…
There are ways to swap out certain ingredients like the vanilla wafers for graham crackers or sour cream for cool whip. But, there are certain things that have to be followed in order to keep the structure of the cheesecake.
- Allow the pudding to bloom with the milk. I’ve tested not using milk and the pudding makes the texture of the cheesecake horrible without it. The banana flavor is great with one pack. If you try to add another it’ll make it worse.
- I experimented with using mashed bananas in the cheesecake and that didn’t turn out well. The cheesecake would not set properly due to the excess moisture from the bananas. But, you can layer them on top if you’d like.

Making the no bake banana pudding cheesecake recipe
- In a mixing bowl, pour in the milk then whisk in the package of banana pudding. Place in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to set.
- While waiting, crush the vanilla wafers in a food processor. Then, mix in melted butter into the crumbs. Now, in the springform pan, form the crust with the buttery crumbs.
- After the time is up, remove the bowl from the fridge, then using a hand mixer, mix in the sour cream and powdered sugar into the pudding. Add in the vanilla next and lastly the cream cheese. Be sure to scrape the sides and the bottom to make sure everything is mixed evenly.
- Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust in the pan. Smooth out the top then cover for 8-12 hours to allow the cheesecake to fully set.
- Right before serving, you can decorate the no bake banana pudding cheesecake with cookie crumbs, bananas, whip cream or enjoy it however you’d like.
