Keep reading and let’s dive in to this grilled chicken strips recipe and I’ll share a few tips!

How To Make Grilled Chicken Tenders

You’ll need these ingredients first

  • Boneless, skinless chicken breast or tenders
  • Parsley
  • White vinegar
  • Lemon
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Garlic
  • Oil (any high temp oil will do)

A few tips before starting the recipe

  • Although this is a grilling recipe, you can bake, pan fry or even use a indoor grill to make it. I don’t want you to feel limited if you don’t have a grill or the weather turns bad.
  • Flare-ups, watch out for these. With oil in the marinade the chicken strips will attract fire when you first put them on the grill. Do not crowd them this way you can move the chicken away from the flames.

Grilling the chicken strips

  1. To start, you can buy chicken breast cut into strips or you can cut them yourself. There is enough marinade to cover 1.5 pounds of chicken.
  2. In a large bowl, add in oil, chopped parsley, vinegar, salt, black pepper and minced or press garlic cloves. Give the marinade a good mix.
  3. Then, add in chicken and cover. You can marinade for an hour up to over night. But, you will want to pull the chicken from the fridge to come to room temp before grilling. Meaning if you have only an hour you can just leave the chicken on the counter in the marinade.
  4. When it’s time to grill, get the grates up to 400ºF.
  5. Grill each side about 3-4 minutes before flipping. Do not close the lid down. Continue flipping until the chicken reaches an internal temp of 165ºF*.
  6. Once finished remove from grill. Allow to rest about 5 minutes before serving.

Storing leftover chicken

This is a great recipe for meal prepping and storage. They can be frozen for a few months or place in the refrigerator for about 4-5 days. You can easily wrap them in aluminum foil or in a sealed storage container.

Yes, you can. Overnight is fine but I recommend at least 2 hours if you have the time.

Doesn’t take long, I say give yourself a minimum of 15 minutes to cook the grilled chicken tenders. But, this always depends on the heat you are cooking with. People make the mistake when grilling and not paying attention to the heat.

This will take closer to 20 minutes due to the decrease of the recommended 400ºF in this recipe.
