Grape salad is the perfect fruit salad with a dessert-like flavor. Topped with crunchy pecans and brown sugar, anyone who tries this will be blown away!

Don’t knock it until you try it!
This was something that was told me to me before the first time I tried grape salad. Seems like an odd combo but it works very well.
Think about it.
The textures are amazing with the crisp grapes, smooth dressing then biting down into crunchy pecans. The dressing shouldn’t be so sweet it overpowers the flavors of the grapes.
This grape salad with cream cheese is dessert-like not a dessert so overly sweet isn’t recommended.
With all the different types of grapes out now you can really have fun with this salad.
However, its very easy to make but let’s dive in and I can show you exactly how to do it.
How To Make Grape Salad
You’ll need these ingredients
- Green grapes
- Red grapes
- Cream cheese
- Sour cream
- Sugar
- Brown sugar
- Chopped pecans
- Vanilla extract

Making the grape salad recipe
- To start, soften the cream cheese. You can take it out an hour before or place the sealed package in a bowl of warm water and it’ll be ready in 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, grab a hand mixer and cream together the cream cheese and sour cream. Add in granulated sugar and beat a little more. Then, pour in vanilla extract and beat until everything is well combined.
- Allow the dressing to sit for a little while you wash and dry your grapes.
- Once that is finished in a bowl add grapes into the dressing. Mix well. Then, toss in 1/4 cup of chopped pecans, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and fold them into the grape salad.
- Lastly, garnish with the remaining brown sugar and chopped pecans and serve.
Storing leftovers from the salad
More than likely there won’t be anything left but if there is, cover the bowl you are serving in and make sure it’s airtight. You will be able to get about 3-4 days in the refrigerator this way. However, due to the dairy this is not a recipe to be stored in the freezer.
