How To Make Garlic Parmesan Pork Chops
Ingredients needed
- Thin pork chops
- Plain breadcrumbs
- Grated parmesan
- Egg
- All-purpose flour
- Seasoning (listed below)
A important tip before starting the recipe
Due to frying portion of the recipe, only use thin-cut pork chops. Thick pork chops will not cook all the way through before the crust burns. A quick tip, if using thicker pork chops you can place in a 400F oven until the pork chop reaches a safe internal temperature. Be sure to use a oven safe rack, if not you’ll lose the crust side that comes in contact with the sheet pan.
Making the garlic parmesan pork chops with a crispy crust
- To start, pat the pork chops dry. Then, set up a breading station, flour station, and egg wash station.
- Dip both sides into the flour then shake off the excess. Next, into the egg wash and then into the breading. Cover the pork chop well then set to the side. Do all the pork chops before starting.
- In a frying pan add vegetable oil and heat to about 300-325F. Use a thermometer if one is available. This is a perfect temp for a crispy coasting and to allow the chops to cook through fully.
- Place the chops in and when you notice browning on the sides flip them. Cook the chops until golden brown. Each chop should take 3-5 minutes to cook through. If you see a golden crust before that the heat is too high.
