How To Make Crockpot Spinach Dip

Ingredients needed

  • Spinach
  • Cream cheese
  • Sour cream
  • Mozzarella
  • Parmesan
  • Artichokes
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Salt & black pepper

Quick tips for the recipe

  • Use fresh cheese instead of shredded cheese. The spinach dip will be much creamier if you chop your own parmesan and chop or grate fresh mozzarella.
  • I do not recommend fresh spinach for this recipe. You need to drain as much water as possible from the spinach and making it fresh will make the recipe more difficult for you.

Making the spinach dip in the crockpot

  1. First, thaw the frozen spinach. Leave it out to thaw or place it in the refrigerator overnight. When ready to cook the crockpot spinach dip snip a small corner of the bag and squeeze out as much excess water as you can.
  2. Then, grate and chop up your cheeses. Drain a can of artichokes in a strainer then press them to remove the excess water as well. Then, chop the drained artichokes up on a cutting board.
  3. Next, in a small pan with a little oil sauté the garlic and onion until fragrant and the onions are soft and translucent.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese and sour cream.
  5. Now, in the crockpot add all of the ingredients. Turn the crockpot on high for 2 hours.
  6. At the 1 hour mark give everything a mix. After 2 hours the spinach dip is ready.
  7. Lastly, salt and pepper to taste before serving then enjoy.
