  • Egg
  • Breakfast sausage
  • Sour cream
  • Cheese

Quick tips for the recipe

  • Look for the crescent roll dough sheets instead of the actual rolls themselves. If you can find the dough sheet, you’ll have to press together the seams of the dough.
  • If the crust starts to brown too much and the center of the casserole still isn’t done cooking, you can carefully cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil. This will allow the center to finish cooking and slow down the browning of the crust.

Making the crescent roll breakfast casserole

  1. Preheat the oven to 375F.
  2. In a baking dish, spread out the crescent roll dough sheet. Bake for 7 minutes in the oven, then remove.
  3. While that’s baking, cook and brown the breakfast sausage in a pan. In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sour cream, then fold in the cooked sausage and the cheese.
  4. Pour the casserole filling on top of the pre-baked crescent roll sheet. Next, place the baking dish back into the oven for 40 minutes or until the center of the casserole is finished cooking.
