How To Make Cherry Crisp
Ingredients needed
- Cherry pie filling or fresh cherries
- Whole oats
- All-purpose flour
- Brown sugar
- Butter
- Almond extract or vanilla
Making the cherry crisp recipe
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- First, add the canned cherries into the baking dish. In a bowl, mix together the oats, flour, brown sugar, salt, and the extract.
- Next, add in the butter, then use a pastry cutter to mix the butter into the dry ingredients until crumbs form.
- Take those crumbs and sprinkle them across the cherries in the baking pan.
- Place in the oven and bake for 45 minutes. Once the topping is golden, remove from the oven.
- Allow to cool 15-20 minutes for the top to become crunchy then serve with ice cream or cool whip.

- Remove the stem from the cherries. You’ll need 3-4 cups for the recipe.
- Add the cherries into a bowl and toss in 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Next, coat the cherries with 1 tablespoon of flour.
