How To Make Blueberry Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients needed

  • Rolled oats
  • Blueberries
  • Bananas
  • Creamy peanut butter
  • Granulated sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Salt

Important tips before making the recipe

  • You can swap the blueberries out for frozen if you’d like. But, do not thaw them first.
  • Be sure to use creamy peanut butter for the recipe. It helps keep the cookies chewy after cooking.
  • Used old fashioned rolled oat and not quick oats.

Making the blueberry oatmeal cookies recipe

  1. To start, preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. Then, mash up the bananas and measure out 3/4 cup. This is about 2-2.5 bananas depending on the size. Mix the peanut butter and the bananas together.
  3. Next, add in the sugar, cinnamon, salt then lastly add in the oats and the blueberries.
  4. Take a cookie scoop and place the cookie on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. You’ll need to mash them down or leave them as is. I have even experimented with double scooping them for thicker cookies. But, with a normal cookie scoop you can get about 18 cookies.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes in the oven. Remove them from the oven and allow them to completely cool to avoid them falling apart while trying to handle them.
