Air Fryer Red Potatoes: Crispy In 20 Minutes

Jump to Recipe

Air fryer red potatoes are crispy and full of flavor fresh from the air fryer and all you need is 20 minutes to cook them.

Air fryer red potatoes

I’ve done breakfast potatoes, tater tots and sweet potatoes in the air fryer but they are nothing like these.

Air fryer red potatoes are special because yukon gold and red potatoes don’t have as much starch as russet potatoes. They come out buttery and less starchy tasting.

Leave the skin on for crispy bites of potato in my spice and herb blend. You should have most of the ingredients sitting in your pantry. I’ll list it below.

Making the red potatoes in the air fryer

  1. Wash the potatoes leaving the skin on and dry them with a paper towel. Now chop up the red potatoes and preheat the air fryer to 375F.
  2. In a small bowl mix together the spice blend. In another bowl with the chopped potatoes add oil then pour the spice blend on top. Give the potatoes a toss in the oil and spices until they are evenly coated.
  3. Once the air fryer is up to temp add the seasoned potatoes to the basket.
  4. Air fry for 10 minutes then give the basket a shake to rotate the potatoes. Cook a remaining 10 minutes.
  5. Allow to cool a bit because the insides of the potatoes will be hot then serve.
