Ingredients you’ll need

  • Okra
  • Vegetable oil (any oil will do)
  • Seasoning mix (listed below)

Can you use frozen okra for the recipe?

Yes, you can if you can’t find any fresh. If you cook from frozen, allow it to cook first before seasoning so that the ice melts first. Allow to cook for 5 minutes, then spray with oil and shake the basket. Toss it in the seasoning after it’s done.

Making the okra in the air fryer

  1. Prep the okra first. Slice off the ends, then cut into bites the short way as you see in the photos. Toss the cuts in oil then toss in the seasonings.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400F.
  3. Once heated, add in the seasoned okra. Cook for 10 minutes and shake halfway through.
  4. When they are done cooking, allow them to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

  • 16 ounce okra, sliced
  • 2-3 tablespoon olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
