How To Make Hot Honey Chicken Tenders
Ingredients needed
- Chicken tenders
- Buttermilk
- All-purpose flour
- Vegetable oil
- Mike’s Hot Honey or homemade hot honey (recipe below)
- Seasonings (listed below)

Making the hot honey chicken tenders
- To start, make the marinade for the chicken. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 1 hour and up to 4 hours. When ready to start cooking after the marinade, move to the next step.
- Next, mix together the breading mixture. It will be lumpy, that is fine. Use one hand to remove the wet chicken and use one hand for the breading.
- Place the chicken in the breading mix and gently squeeze the breading around the chicken. It’ll stick perfectly. Then, transfer the breaded chicken to a plate or cutting board.
- Heat up a pot of oil to 325-350F. Fry the chicken tenders until cooked all the way through. While the chicken tenders are frying, mix the honey and add the other ingredients.
- Now, when all the chicken tenders are fried and cooked through, before serving drizzle the hot honey over the crispy tenders. Lastly, serve the hot honey as an optional dip for more sweetness.
