My waffles keep sticking to my waffles iron… ugh
I’ve tried melting cheese in both sides too hello but no cheese only burned. The waffles don’t cook all the way through and fall apart. What is happening? I’m very sad. I was really looking forward to making these.
Sorry this is happening with your waffles but let’s try to figure it out. Are you getting the waffle iron really hot? The hotter the better and make sure its completely preheated before adding the waffles. You are welcome to use non-stick cooking spray but on a non-stick waffle iron getting it good and hot is normally more than enough. Next, is the waffle iron clean? And when I say clean I mean is it free of potential scratches where accidentally the surface was scratched and had the non-stick portion of the waffle iron damaged. Lastly, are you allowing the waffles to cook all the way through before lifting the iron? If lifting too fast this will not allow that mallard effect to take place where something sticks then releases, much like what happens with meats such as steak on a stainless steel pan. I do not recommend cheese but I do want to ask, if the cheese burned did it stick as well? That may be a clue to the waffle iron itself.
