How To Make Roasted Broccolini
Ingredients needed
- Broccolini
- Vegetable oil or olive oil
- Salt & black pepper
How to make broccolini taste better?
Broccolini is a bit more flavorful than regular broccoli. But, you can add a few things to really amp up the flavor. I’ll share some of my favorites below.
- Butter
- Garlic
- Grated Parmesan
- Lemon juice
- Balsamic or any vinegar
- Cheese
In the recipe below I use garlic. But, you can add a number of these. Using the roasted garlic you can even make a compound butter for the broccolini.
Making the roasted broccolini recipe
- Preheat the oven to 400F.
- Now, for the bunch of broccolini, you’ll need to trim about 1-2 inches from the stems. Next, slice the broccolini the long way where it’s needed in order to cook pieces around the same size. You do not want a bunch of large and small pieces. The small pieces will burn before the large are finished cooking.
- Next, coat the broccolini in oil very well. Do not leave a spot dry, this is important to prevent pre-mature burning. Once coated with oil, add salt and pepper to taste. Toss the pieces of garlic in the oil as well.
- Lightly oil the sheet pan then arrange the broccolini in the sheet pan. Bring them close but do not stack them. Then, place the garlic on top of the broccolini.
- Place in the preheated oven for 15 minutes but start checking at 12 minutes. You may be able to roast a little longer but keep a close eye to prevent burning.
- Lastly, when the roasted broccolini is done serve with the garlic.
