How To Make Potato Chip Cookies
Ingredients needed
- Potato chips (any plain potato chips will do)
- Chocolate chips
- Butter
- Granulated sugar
- Brown sugar
- Egg
- All-purpose flour
- Baking soda
- Vanilla extract
Making the potato chip cookies recipe
- Preheat the oven to 350F.
- Begin the recipe by creaming the butter and the sugars together on a high speed for about two minutes. Then, add in the vanilla extract, eggs and egg yolk.
- In a separate bowl, add in the flour, baking soda and salt. Combine the dry and wet ingredients until the dough is almost formed.
- Now, add in the potato chips and chocolate chips and fold them into the dough.
- Scoop the dough and place on a lined sheet pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are slightly browning. Remove and allow them to cool a bit before serving, enjoy.

Does resting the dough make better cookies?
It depends on the cookie dough. Sometimes resting the dough can make a better cookie with a more concentrated flavor. For this recipe, I’ve had them refrigerated and made fresh and don’t really notice a difference in flavor.
Storing them and freezing
You can always freeze cookie dough for later. A tip, scoop them on a lined sheet pan then freeze them. Once frozen, package them up and when you’re ready for a cookie you can bake them from frozen.
