Parmesan meatballs are a great dinner idea that’s easy to make. Chicken meatballs really allow the nuttiness of the parmesan to shine with the marinara sauce.

Parmesan meatballs

Looking to elevate your dinner game with a mouthwatering classic dish? Look no further than these juicy parmesan meatballs. Made with lean ground chicken and a generous amount of Parmesan cheese, the chicken is neutral enough to allow that true parmesan flavor to shine through in every bite.

Not only are these parmesan meatballs a crowd-pleaser, but they are also incredibly versatile. Serve them with your favorite pasta or skewer them with toothpicks for a fun and flavorful appetizer.

The best part? These parmesan meatballs are easy to make and can be prepared in advance, making them the perfect solution for busy weeknight dinners or entertaining guests.

How To Make Parmesan Meatballs

Ingredients needed

  • Ground chicken
  • Grated parmesan cheese
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Marinara sauce
  • Egg
  • Seasoning & herbs (listed below)

Quick variations before starting

  • Any ground meat can be swapped out for the chicken in this recipe. I prefer the chicken or even turkey because beef can mask the flavors of the parmesan.
  • Play around with freshly shredded parmesan as well. Topping everything off with the fresh grated parmesan is great because the flavors are stronger. It’ll melt together just like when baking, here’s parmesan asparagus for example.

Making the parmesan meatballs recipe

  1. First, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, parmesan cheese and the seasoning together for the meatballs. Cover the bowl then allow to sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Next, form the meatballs about the size of golf balls. Then in a frying pan sear the meatballs on a side or two. Do not crowd the pan, cook them in batches.
  3. Lower the heat in the pan to low then add all the parmesan meatballs back into the pan. Pour in the marinara sauce and allow to slowly simmer with the lid on until the meatballs are cooked all the way through.
  4. When the meatballs are cooked through, remove the lid then garnish the top with parmesan cheese before serving.
