How To Make Baked Parmesan Asparagus
Ingredients needed
- Asparagus
- Garlic
- Cooking oil (vegetable oil or olive oil)
- Parmesan (see recipe tips)
- Breadcrumbs (optional, see recipe tips)
Tips to making the best recipe
- In the recipe I used grated and freshly shredded parmesan cheese. You can use only grated parmesan and still have a great recipe. But, if you want to use shredded, which I recommend, shred your own.
- The breadcrumbs added a nice touch but for measurement purposes it’s hard to say two tablespoons of breadcrumbs with a little butter. But, for easy measurements use 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs with 1 tablespoon of butter. You’ll have a bunch left over but the ratios will be correct.

Making the baked parmesan asparagus recipe
- Preheat the oven to 400F and oil a sheet pan. For easy clean-up you can line it with aluminum foil then spray the foil with oil.
- Now, slice the hard bottoms from the asparagus. Then, oil the asparagus well. Be sure to oil every inch of them.
- Now, toss them with the minced garlic, salt, pepper and the grated parmesan cheese. Lay them out in the sheet pan then cover with the shredded parmesan cheese if you decide to use it.
- Place the pan in the oven and bake for 20 minutes. When the time is up, remove them and allow to cool a bit before serving.

- 4 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
- 2 tablespoon grated parmesan
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
