How To Make A Keto Mug Cake-Step By Step
- First, a mug cake is one of the easiest thing to make. Start off using only one bowl or a mug. You can separate the dry and wet ingredients or just toss the all together, then mix.
- In a mug or a bowl crack one egg.
- Next, toss in one tablespoon of natural sugar free peanut butter. Then add 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- Add in almond flour, coconut flour, granulated sweetener, salt and baking powder.
- Then, mix until batter is even and smooth. Toss in chocolate chips if you have them.
- Place in microwave for 1 minute. Microwaves vary you may need to add an extra 15-30 seconds to finish off the middle.
- Lastly, rest then serve.
Helpful Recipe Tips
- You may need more than 1 minute for the center to finish. I’ve made this recipe several times and sometimes 1 minute is enough others I need an extra 15 seconds.
- If not sweet enough add a couple drops of liquid monk fruit or stevia. Lily’s chocolate chips are my go to chips to use in this recipe.
- Make a peanut butter topping by thinning the peanut butter out with melted butter. Such as in the pictures.
