How To Make Italian Dressing Pork Chops
Ingredients needed
- Boneless pork chops
- Italian dressing
- Japanese style panko
- Grated parmesan
Quick tips before starting the recipe
- During the marinating the pork chops will be infused with the flavors of the dressing. I did not add salt or pepper because all the seasoning came from the dressing. However, for a kick you can top the finished recipe with more dressing for a deeper flavor.
- Regular breadcrumbs can be used but the best crunch comes from Japanese-style in my opinion.
- If making super thick pork chops, try cooking at 375F to give the pork chops extra time to cook through before the crust turns golden.
Making the oven-baked Italian dressing pork chops
- To start, pat the pork chops dry and then add them and the marinade into a plastic bag. Massage the marinade around the pork chops. Allow them to marinade for 4 hours overnight.
- When ready to cook, preheat the oven to 400F.
- Mix the ingredients for the crispy topping. Then, remove the pork chops from the marinade and place on a sheet pan.
- Sprinkle the topping across the pork chops and do not press it down. Those little uneven peaks turn super crunchy in the oven.
- Cook the pork chops for 25 minutes and keep an eye on the crust. When it’s golden brown remove them from the oven then check the pork chops for doneness. See my tips above if the pork chops are thick.
- Allow it to cool a bit then serve.
