How To Make Hamburger Noodle Casserole
Ingredients needed
- Ground beef
- Egg noodles
- Tomato sauce
- Cream of mushroom
- Onion
- Cheddar cheese
- Worcestershire sauce
Making the hamburger noodle casserole
- First, you’ll need to brown the ground beef. Add salt and pepper to the ground beef. Right before the ground beef is finished cooking add the onions in so they can soften a little before going in the oven.
- At the same time cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Be sure to salt the pasta water.
- Preheat oven to 400F.
- Now, while those are cooking, make the sauce by combining the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce and cream of mushroom. You may need to add salt to taste at the end for personal taste. But, I suggest waiting until the casserole has cooked.
- When the noodles have finished in a 16×9 baking dish add the noodles, browned ground beef and then pour in the sauce.
- Mix everything together until even. Top with cheddar cheese then place in the preheated oven.
- Bake the casserole for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese has melted. Lastly, allow the casserole to cool before serving.
Storage & leftovers
The hamburger noodle casserole can last up to 4 days in the refrigerator. For freezing, be sure to place in something air tight.
