How To Make A Ground Turkey Pasta

Ingredients needed

  • Ground turkey
  • Pasta noodles (this recipe used bow tie but any will work)
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Crushed tomatoes
  • Tomato paste
  • Chicken broth
  • Heavy cream
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Seasonings (listed below)

Making the ground turkey pasta in a balsamic tomato sauce

  1. First, dice the onion and mince the garlic. Also, drain and rinsed the diced tomatoes.
  2. Now, in a pot or sauce pan, brown the ground turkey. Once the turkey is finished remove it from the pan.
  3. Next, add in the diced onion, diced tomatoes and the minced garlic. Lightly season with salt and pepper then cook all these ingredients until fragrant and onions are softened.
  4. Then, add in the tomato paste and “cook out” the tomato paste within the other ingredients for about 30 seconds.
  5. Add back in the ground turkey. Then, add in the crushed tomatoes and chicken broth. Make sure to add crushed tomatoes first to avoid splashing.
  6. Next , add in the Italian seasoning and the balsamic vinegar. Cover and cook for 15 minutes on a medium heat.
  7. While the sauce is cooking prepare the pasta noodles according to the package instructions.
  8. After the 15 minutes, turn the heat from the sauce. Add in the heavy cream then carefully taste for salt and pepper. Carefully, the sauce will be hot.
  9. When ready to serve mix the noodles with the sauce then finish off with a garnishing of parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.

  • 15 ounce can of diced tomatoes, drained & rinsed
