Ground Turkey Pasta

Ground turkey pasta in a balsamic tomato sauce that's full of flavor but easy enough to make for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients
 

  • 8 ounces pasta noodles, dry
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 28 ounce can of crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • grated parmesan & parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • First, dice the onion and mince the garlic.
  • Now, in a pot or sauce pan, brown the ground turkey. Once the turkey is finished remove it from the pan.
  • Next, add in the diced onion and the minced garlic. Lightly season with salt and pepper then cook all these ingredients until fragrant and onions are softened.
  • Add back in the ground turkey. Then, add in the crushed tomatoes.
  • Next , add in the Italian seasoning and the balsamic vinegar. Cover and cook for 30 minutes on a medium low heat.
  • While the sauce is cooking prepare the pasta noodles according to the package instructions.
  • After the 15 minutes, turn the heat from the sauce. Add in the heavy cream then carefully taste for salt and pepper. Carefully, the sauce will be hot.
  • When ready to serve mix the noodles with the sauce then finish off with a garnishing of parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
