How To Make Crockpot Beef And Broccoli
Ingredients needed
- Flank steak
- Broccoli crown
- Beef broth
- Soy sauce
- Honey
- Sesame oil
- Garlic
- Cornstarch
Tips, where the recipe can go wrong
The only issue you can run into in this recipe is the cornstarch. I personally like to put the cornstarch in at the beginning when the liquids are cold. This also prevents having to make a slurry. Anywho, I do no recommend making this recipe if you can return about halfway through the cook time to stir the crockpot beef and broccoli.
The cornstarch will settle to the bottom after some time and it’ll start to thicken and possible burn at the bottom of the crockpot if you don’t stir it.

Making the crockpot beef and broccoli recipe
- To start, cut the flank steak into thick strips. Now, mix the cornstarch with the beef broth. Then, pour into the crockpot.
- Add in the soy sauce, and minced garlic and crumble the bouillon cube over the top. Now, add in the steak strips.
- Put the lid on and cook on high for 3 hours or low for 5-6. After about 1.5 hours, give everything a stir then continue cooking.
- When you are at the last hour of cooking, add in the chopped broccoli. Allow the broccoli to finish cooking the last hour in the slow cooker.
- Once everything is finished cooking, stir in the honey and the sesame oil as the final touch. Taste for salt before serving and enjoy.
