Keto fat bomb recipes are popular, but none cookie butter flavored as this one. A tasty, easy way to get fat in all under 2g net carbs! A copycat of the Trader Joe’s cookie butter in a keto fat bomb version.
Does anyone remember the the cookie butter Oreo’s? I do!
Now, my addiction to Oreo’s is known amongst my YouTube family. I pay close attention to what they release even when I don’t try them. When I purchased the cookie butter flavor I had nothing to compare them against.
What is cookie butter?
So, I went out and bought it! The Oreo’s, I didn’t know what cookie butter was but I trusted Nabisco. Going on with my life I always wondered how close did they actually land that taste.
At this moment, I had my first teaspoon of Trader Joe’s cookie butter. It was rather amazing! Extremely sweet but I needed it for research purposes. If I’d bought a pack of Oreo’s I wouldn’t have made it out alive. The taste is a smooth ginger cookie to me.
Cookie Butter Keto Fat Bomb Recipe
My last keto fat bomb recipe wasn’t my own, but from m buddy Liz at Meat Free Keto. Being my first, I knew certain objectives had to be met. They had to harden under cold temperatures. That was all I had really…
But, you guys know if it doesn’t taste right I can’t endorse it. So tasting the actual cookie butter itself I knew a nut butter was the route to go. Couldn’t be a strong one like peanut butter so I chose Sunbutter that has a milder taste.
Battling with brown sugars, with the help of a subscriber I was able to pick up Sukrin gold. I probably could have went heavier, but I was afraid of that cooling effect from the sweetener. Although, Sunbutter has a no sugar version, they also have a sweetened version. I broke down the macros and the sweetened one came out to just about 3g net carbs. Not too much of a difference if you don’t wanna sacrifice taste.
For those of us that are watching calories or macros, I completely understand.
In conclusion, I believe they are best out of the freezer. Not frozen solid but a good cold to compliment the smoothness. Out of the refrigerator they melt much quicker from the heat of your hand. Honestly though, they’ll be gone before you notice.
Conclusion
A keto fat bomb recipe can be pretty simple. Some can stand out, but then you have cookie butter. In this situation you take it to an entirely new level. Completely sugar free, low carb, and keto friendly. Packed full of fat along with flavor. The fat bombs aren’t as sweet as actual cookie butter from Trader Joe’s. But the scent of gingerbread, along with a smooth buttery taste is spot on.
