How To Make Baked BBQ Pork Chops
Ingredients needed first
- Pork chops
- Barbecue sauce
- Seasoning mix (listed below)
Important tip for the best barbecue pork chops
You can use a sheet pan for the recipe, but I recommend a baking rack. Lifting the pork chops off the pan will allow the seasoning to stay on the chops better. When placed directly on the sheet pan when the juices start to flow it can make the pork chops soggy and wash away the seasoning and the barbecue sauce.
Making the baked barbecue pork chops recipe
- Preheat the oven to 400F.
- Now, cover the pork chops generously with the seasoning mix. Place on an oven rack and bake for 15-25 minutes. Note, you need to adjust the cooking time according to how thick your pork chops are. The pork chops should be close to done before moving to the next step.
- Remove the pork chops and turn the oven on broil. Cover one side of the pork chop with bbq sauce then place back in oven for 5 minutes.
- Now, remove the pan and flip the chops to sauce the other side. Place back in oven for 5 final minutes.
- Allow the pork chops to cool a bit before serving.
