How To Make Parmesan Rice
Ingredients needed
- White rice
- Heavy cream
- Grated parmesan
- Salt & black pepper
The best rice to use for the recipe
White long grain rice is just fine for this recipe. Basmati and jasmine rices are very aromatic and flavorful but you’re adding flavor with the parmesan. You could save the extra money and use basic rice for this recipe instead.

Making the parmesan rice recipe
- First, in a pot on medium high heat add a little oil. Then you want to toast the rice until the rice begins to look brown and toasty.
- Next, pour in the water and bring to a boil. Once boiling, lower the heat to low then cover the pot and allow the rice to cook for 20 minutes and no more.
- Immediately when the rice is finished, fluff the rice then pour in the heavy cream and grated parmesan. Continue to mix as the hot rice soaks up the cream.
- Lastly, season with salt and pepper to taste then serve.
