Parmesan Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white rice, dry
  • 2 tablespoon oil for toasting rice
  • 1.75 cup water
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • First, in a pot on medium high heat add a little oil. Then you want to toast the rice until the rice begins to look brown and toasty.
  • Next, pour in the water and bring to a boil. Once boiling, lower the heat to low then cover the pot and allow the rice to cook for 20 minutes and no more.
  • Immediately when the rice is finished, fluff the rice then pour in the heavy cream and grated parmesan. Continue to mix as the hot rice soaks up the cream.
  • Lastly, season with salt and pepper to taste then serve.
