History & Origins of the Green Goddess*

Originally, made as a dressing the green goddess name has taken many forms throughout the years. The original flavors were savory with a nice touch of acidity with ingredients like mayo, anchovies and vinegar. The green notes came from the parsley, chives and other green ingredients used. At this point there isn’t a “true” way to make it because there are so many variations.

This version is a copycat of the discontinued Trader Joe’s green goddess dip.
