How To Make Crockpot Pepper Steak
Ingredients needed
- Sirloin steak
- Red bell pepper
- Green bell pepper
- Onion
- Soy sauce
- Beef broth
- Brown sugar
- Cornstarch
Important step before you start the recipe
If you are not able to stir the recipe at least 2 times during the cook, do not add the cornstarch until the very end.
If you add the cornstarch and do not stir the recipe during the cook, it’ll sit at the bottom and thicken rather than the entire sauce thickening as it should.
In the situation of you being away, when you return mix the cornstarch with two tablespoons of water to make a slurry then allow it to cook in the crockpot with the pepper steak for the last hour. Stir at the 30 minute mark to make sure things stay even.
