How To Make Caramel Cookies
Ingredients needed
- All-purpose flour
- Bread flour
- Baking soda
- Baking powder
- Cinnamon
- Butter
- Granulated sugar
- Brown sugar
- Egg
- Vanilla extract
- Milk chocolate chips
- Caramel squares
Quick tip before starting the recipe
Of course you can make the cookies as you see in the photos. But, in the directions I recommend folding the cookie dough around the caramel. I wanted the caramel to show easier in the photos but folding the caramel in the cookie dough protects if from burning on the pan while baking.

Leftovers
Cookie dough makes the best leftovers. Assemble the cookies with the caramel in the middle then freeze. After that, you can bake the cookies from frozen or even use the air fryer for them, follow baking instructions as normal.
Making the caramel cookies recipe
- Preheat the oven to 350F.
- Now, cream the butter and both sugars together on a high speed for about 2 minutes. Next, mix in the eggs, yolk and vanilla extract. In another bowl, add in the flours, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Now, combine the dry and wet ingredients. Do not over-mix. When just combined, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Now, grab a scoop of cookie dough. Place the caramel in the center, next fold the cookie dough around it. You will need a large cookie dough scoop. If you only have a small one, simple use 2 scoops.
- Once folded around the caramel, place the cookie on a line sheet pan. Make all the cookies you plan to bake then place in the oven for 12 minutes. When done, allow the cookies to cool before serving, enjoy.
