Enjoy these bacon wrapped chicken bites with thick sliced bacon and perfectly spiced chicken breast. Great for a appetizer or main dish these savory bites are sure to be a healthy chicken recipe the family will love!
I have bacon wrapped everything with the exception of shrimp at this point. See recipes below for all the delicious options. When making these bites I say grab the thickest bacon possible. The flavor of bacon really is able to shine even with how well the chicken is seasoned. Adding these bites as a meal option or during a game just to have some savory poppers for an easy snack.
How To Make Bacon Wrapped Chicken Bites
First, chicken breast or chicken tenders are fine to make this recipe. Make sure that the chicken is boneless and skinless because you need to cut it into bite sized pieces.
Combine all of the spices together. The seasoning isn’t spicy at all but resembles seasoning salt. Coat every piece evenly.
Next, begin wrapping bacon. You can wrap half pieces which will require more bacon. My personal method, I like to use scissors by simply wrapping the bacon enough to cover the bite then I would cut the excess. This would be slightly over a quarter piece of bacon but this does result in scrape pieces you’ll have to put together in the end.
Then, in a preheated oven bake the bites for 20 minutes. Next, place the oven on broil to crisp bacon on both sides. Serve immediately. You can top with your favorite barbecue sauce, ketchup, brown sugar or nothing at all.
Helpful Recipe Tips
- Using thick cut bacon helps make a healthier flavor in the bite.
- Use toothpicks to secure the bacon or wrap over, then lay seam side down. Either will keep the bacon from coming unraveled during cooking.
- Do not skip broiling afterward. If you skip the bacon can beat a bit undercooked.
