Avocado Ranch Dressing

A creamy, velvety smooth avocado ranch dressing that’s homemade and delicious. A classic ranch dressing recipe with avocado added to bring it that natural creamy texture. This dressing is a great option for those on the keto diet or just looking for a healthy homemade dressing.

Avocado Ranch Dressing
Typically on the keto diet avocados are a given. Yet, I wanted to venture out since I am eating more carbs at the moment. A delicious avocado ranch dressing I created because I have been in the mood of making my own sauces, dips, dressings and so on. The avocado turned this ranch dressing recipe into something creamier than I could have ever imagined. The longer it sits the flavors work together and the dressing remains creamy and delicious.

Greek Yogurt Or Sour Cream Dressing

In this recipe I used both. I wanted to test them both that way you’ll have the best flavor. For the keto diet, stick with the sour cream as yogurt contains a few carbs if you’re worried. The whole milk greek yogurt I used gave a better flavor than the sour cream in my opinion. The creaminess was the same but the yogurt gave the dressing a extra boost in flavor the sour cream version lacked. Yet, I worked it out and you can swap either or 1:1.

Dried Or Fresh Herbs

I personally used dried herbs in this recipe. Dry herbs help with overall speed in making the recipe easier for beginner cooks. Now, would I be against fresh herbs? Of course not! If you have the time I say add them in fresh and experiment with it. I recommend using around the same amount since fresh herbs have an earthier flavor that stands out over dry.

How To Make Avocado Ranch Dressing

To start, you’ll need a whole avocado. Around the medium to small size if possible. Organic avocados you’ll find that size but in the conventional there can be some fairly large ones. To add, I used whole milk greek yogurt. As mentioned earlier you can swap this one to one with sour cream. Both are delicious.

Next, you will need a blender, food processor or hand mixer.

Add in garlic powder, onion powder, dill weed, parsley, salt and pepper then mix everything together. Once everything is smooth give it a taste. If salted perfectly, serve or place in the refrigerator for at least an hour.

While in the refrigerator the avocado ranch dressing will thicken up and the flavors will marinate together more.

Store in the refrigerator for about 3-5 days. The avocado is the quickest ingredient to go bad and that’s about how long they last after being cut.

How To Store

Keep this dressing in the refrigerator! Everything needs to kept cold. Due to the avocado the dressing will keep 3-5 days in a storage container in the refrigerator.
