Air fryer frozen broccoli in 15 minutes for a easy, healthy side dish you can top with your favorite garnishes.

When it comes to your health no one would argue and say vegetables are terrible for you. They are great source of fiber, vitamins and minerals but we all know they aren’t cookies.
So how would you make them taste better? Air fryer frozen broccoli is great because air frying at a high heat with a little oil makes little crispy, charred bits on the broccoli.
This means added flavor!
Garnishing with things with healthy fats or salty makes this side dish even better and you only need less than 15 minutes.
How To Make Air Fryer Frozen Broccoli
Ingredients needed
- Frozen broccoi
- Oil
- Air fryer
Quick tips and suggestions before starting
- Some people love broccoli on it’s own but others need a little help. When it comes to flavor there are a few principles chefs go by. Salt, fat, acid and sugar are the four things that elevate any dish. The secret is one can be enough. Topping the broccoli with salty things such as soy sauce or a fat like cheese are great. Maybe something acidic like balsamic vinegar is more of your style.
- Air fryer times do vary. You may only need 12minutes to cook the broccoli. It’s best to monitor between shakes of the air fryer basket and using a fork to test tenderness of the broccoli.
- I recommend the frozen florets over the cuts. Cuts will make a mess in the air fryer because they are so small they’ll cook fast and bits will fall through depending on the type of basket you have.

Making frozen broccoli in the air fryer
- First, preheat the air fryer to 400F.
- Then, once the air fryer is heated add the frozen broccoli right in. Air fry for 5 minutes to knock off the ice from the broccoli.
- Now, you want to spray with oil right on top of the broccoli. Replace the air fryer basket and cook another 5 minutes. At this point judge how much more time you need. For more charred broccoli go the full 5 minutes.
- Cook a remaining 5 minutes and remove the broccoli from the air fryer. Season the broccoli with your favorite garnishes with salt and pepper being classics. For a little spice, red pepper flakes are great for air fryer frozen broccoli.
