How To Make Turkey Bacon In Air Fryer

What ingredients do you need, here it is

  • Turkey bacon
  • Air fryer

That’s all that’s needed for this easy recipe.

Quick tips before starting

  • Cook times do vary air fryer to air fryer because some have more wattage or more power than others.
  • Depending on the air fryer you use the turkey bacon in air fryer may look too big. Don’t worry because the bacon will shrink as it cooks.

Making the turkey bacon in air fryer

  1. First, preheat the air fryer to 350F.
  2. Next, remove the turkey bacon from it’s packaging and place in the preheated air fryer basket. Leave room for the air to travel between the turkey pieces, do not crowd them.
  3. Air fry the turkey bacon for 4 minutes on one side then flip and do a remaining 4 minutes on the other.
  4. Then, once time is up remove the turkey bacon and serve. Turkey bacon isn’t fatty or greasy like pork bacon so there is no need to “drain” the bacon on a paper towel.

Reheating leftover turkey bacon in air fryer

Reheating the leftovers is simple and I would follow the same instructions but with less time. Because the bacon has already cooked it will burn if you use the same 4 minutes per each side. I suggest starting with 2 minutes each side or until the turkey bacon is heated through. The bacon should remain crispy as well.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Does turkey bacon get crispy?

Yes it does! The crispiness is due to low moisture in the turkey bacon. Turkey bacon has less fat than pork but you can still get crispy bacon in the process.

There are pros and cons to bacon in general but pound for pound turkey bacon is a great option. One major benefit is there is less fat in turkey bacon but you get almost the same amount of protein*. Less calories are always a great thing.
