How To Make Ground Turkey Soup
Ingredients needed
- Ground turkey
- Celery
- Onion
- Garlic
- Carrots
- Broth
- Rotini pasta
- Italian seasoning
- Lemon
- Salt & pepper
Easy tips to customize the turkey soup
- Sub out the pasta, if you choose to not use the pasta remove the 2 cups of water needed and add in two tablespoons of flour to help thicken the soup a little.
- I use frozen veggies for ease of use so swapping them out for mixed veggies or another vegetable of any kind is find. You could also chop up some fresh carrots and add them in.
- When making a soup with pasta one problem is the pasta soaks up all the liquid eventually. If you’re new to this you didn’t do anything wrong, use veterans already know what happened. A way to preserve this is to cook the noodles separately and add them in as you’re serving. If you do this remove the added 2 cups of water.

Making the ground turkey soup
- First, dice the onion and chop the celery. Then in a large pot on medium high heat add a little oil then cook the ground turkey.
- Right before the ground turkey is almost finished cooking add in the garlic, celery and diced onions. Season with Italian seasoning, salt and black pepper.
- Continue cooking until the turkey is finished cooking and the garlic and onions have become fragrant.
- Now, add in the frozen carrots then pour in the chicken broth and water.
- Bring the pot to boil. Once the pot is boiling add in the pasta and lower the heat a little so that the soup isn’t boiling strongly. Continue boiling for about 12 minutes too allow the pasta to cook.
- Once the pasta is down add in freshly squeezed lemon juice then add salt and pepper to taste before serving.
