Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why are my sausage balls dry?

The measurements in the recipe are fine but there is one thing to remember about gluten, you can overwork it. I recommend folding thing by hand because you bring it to the point where everything is even then stop. Some people like a mixing machine but the more you work, stir or fold gluten it can make the end result dry.

How to keep them from burning on the bottom?

Do not overcook them and learn your oven. When baking there are so many variations such as the type of pan you use to the altitude. My recipe at home too 15 minutes, but yours may only take 12 or 20 if the oven thermometer isn’t reading correctly.
