Ingredients needed
- Banana
- Rolled oats
- All-purpose flour
- Butter
- Granulated sugar
- Brown sugar
- Egg
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla
- Baking soda
Important tip before starting the recipe
I understand there are a ton of oats on the grocery store shelf. It can be confusing for someone who doesn’t know that they can pick up the wrong kind. On the ingredient list there should only be one ingredient, rolled oats. You also want to avoid quick oats for this recipe but they can work if that’s what you have on hand.

Making the banana oatmeal muffins recipe
- Preheat the oven to 400F.
- In the bowl with the mashed bananas, mix in both sugars. Then add in the butter, vanilla extract and then the eggs. In another bowl, toss in the flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Combine the dry and wet ingredients.
- Fold in the rolled oats and then add the batter to the muffin liners in the pan. The batter will almost fill each muffin cup to the proper height.
- Place in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until finished baking, Times will vary from oven to oven.

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1.5 cup all-purpose flour (205g)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1.5 cup whole rolled oats
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400℉.
