Darius Pittman

My name is Darius, a Chef, and media personality. I am passionate about helping people live more healthy and happy lives. I started Sugarless Crystals in 2010 initially as a YouTube channel and now expanded into an authority blog with tens of thousands of monthly readers across the United States and the world. My goal is to help people struggling with dieting have more fun, easier and pleasure-filled journeys as I do. I am a 38-year-old vibrant man with almost a million followers across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram who enjoy sweet, easy-to-follow cooking tips and recipes. I am a big advocate of sugar-free and processed food. Growing up as an overweight kid weighing 200 pounds wasn’t fun. Like everyone, I started my weight loss journey by hitting the gym, however, with little or no results. Then, in 2010, I felt a turn in my life watching my grandmother suffer slowly from various health-related illnesses like cancer, heart problems, and other illnesses. It was a very devastating period of my life, but it made me pay close attention to my food intake by reducing my carbohydrate and switching to a keto diet. I have been on a keto diet for over ten years, and at thirty-five years old, I have been able to maintain a healthy weight. I also lost my mother to breast cancer on November 9, 2021. It wasn’t easy, but I have got to move on and carry my fans along on how to eat, live, and be happy. And this is what birthed my interest in being a chef. As a Chef, I paid more attention to my nutrition and made sure I consumed what was appropriate to maintain my current size and weight. So let me whisper into your ears that I now weigh 190 pounds. Surprised? You can also achieve it. My food and diet are a mix of low-carb, keto, and carnivore diets. I avoid refined sugar and substitute it with honey and/or maple syrup. Life at this point was fun for me, having a lot of days to relax and enjoy starchy things from time to time. My outlook and knowledge of health have continued to evolve with time. I am present on a journey to make the best possible choices for myself and enjoy every good food along the way. I hope you ride with my big community and me on this blog and across all social media platforms!
