Preheat the oven to 400℉.
Now, half the cherry tomatoes then toss in oil and add salt and black pepper.
Oil the sheet pan then lay the tomatoes cut-side down. Place the whole garlic cloves in the sheet pan as well to roast those.
Bake for 25 minutes in the oven.
Transfer the roasted tomatoes and garlic to blender or a bowl to use an immersion blender. Then blend the garlic and tomatoes together until smooth.
Add in the balsamic vinegar, chopped basil then salt and black pepper to taste before serving.
