To start, prep all the ingredients.
Then in a large pot, sauté the diced onion and garlic. When they are soft, and browning add in the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and basil.
Next, add in the tomato paste and cook within the ingredients for a minute. Add in the shredded chicken then pour the chicken broth in.
Bring the broth to a boil then lower it to a simmer. Add in a little salt and pepper along with the Italian seasoning.
Add in the rotini pasta. Cook the pasta for the length of time according to the package instructions. Which is normally 10-12 minutes.
Once the pasta is cooked you can turn off the heat. Pour in the heavy cream. And lastly, add the final touches of salt and pepper to taste.
Serve with a garnishing of parmesan cheese.
