  • 1 lb sliced flank steak

  • 2 tablespoon coconut aminos sub for soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon seasame oil

  • Once you get a good color on your steak toss in broccoli.
  • Next, pour in broth and coconut aminios
  • Allow broth to come to a boil. Reduce by half. Turn heat off, then pushing meat and broccoli around the sides to make an area in the pan to stir the whisk. While whisking sprinkle in slowly the xanthan gum. Once sprinkled in allow time for it to thicken. Add in seasame oil now and once sauce has thicken serve!

Notes

Helpful Recipe Tips

  • Garnish with sesame seeds after finish cooking for more of the original feel.
  • When trying out the recipe I covered the pan while cooking. I would advise against this. This welcomed too much water into the sauce for my personal taste.
  • Quickly sear your steak. Don't allow it to boil due to low heat. And don't over cook it, all pieces won't have that beautiful sear to it but enough will. If you overcook this cut of beef it can be tough so keep an open eye on it.
