Ingredients

  • 16 ounces ground sausage Jimmy Dean
  • 3/4 cup bisquick or any pancake mix
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/4 medium yellow onion minced
  • 1 rib celery minced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced

Instructions

  • To start, preheat the oven to 400F.
  • Next, in a mixing bowl add in the ground sausage. Now, finely chop up the onion. You will want to take it a step further than dicing into squares because the sausage balls are small. They will need mincing instead.
  • Then, mince a rib of celery. You can use minced garlic as well to make it easier or you can finely mince a clove of garlic yourself.
  • Add these chopped ingredients into the bowl with the sausage.
  • Next, add in shredded cheddar and bisquick. Take about 5 minutes to knead everything together. If you have a stand mix that would be perfect.
  • Continue kneading the ingredients together until everything is even.
  • Now, grab a cookie scoop and roll the sausage balls in your hand then placing them on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the sausage balls reach an internal temp at least 145F.
  • Allow them to cool a bit before serving and enjoy.
